The day of the escape dawned bright and early, the sun shining through the office windows, illuminating the faces of the four conspirators as they gathered in the break room. Billy paced back and forth, his excitement palpable, while Martha sipped her coffee, her expression a mix of skepticism and intrigue.
"Are we really doing this?" she asked, glancing at the clock. "What if we get caught?"
"We won’t get caught!" Billy replied, confidence brimming in his voice. "We have a solid plan and a great team. Plus, who would suspect a group of office workers?"
Kevin was fiddling with his phone, checking the time. "Okay, so we’ve got exactly thirty minutes before the morning meeting. That should give us enough time to set up the coffee disaster."
Linda bounced on her heels, her enthusiasm infectious. "Let’s do this! I’m ready to charm my way into Duller’s office while you guys work your magic!"
As the clock ticked down, the group sprang into action. Kevin made his way to the coffee machine, armed with tools and a devilish grin. Meanwhile, Martha and Billy plotted their route to the exit, ready to make their escape during the ensuing chaos.
With a series of deft movements, Kevin began to dismantle the coffee machine. "This is going to be epic!" he whispered to himself, as he reconfigured the wiring. The machine hummed ominously, a prelude to the disaster they were about to unleash.
"Just remember, we need to be quick!" Billy urged, watching Kevin’s every move. "Once it starts spewing coffee, we’ll have to act fast."
"Got it!" Kevin replied, his face a mask of concentration as he tightened the last screw. Suddenly, the machine let out a loud whirr, followed by a series of alarming beeps.
"Uh-oh, I think I might have overdone it!" Kevin exclaimed, panic creeping into his voice.
Just then, Linda peeked around the corner, her expression a mix of excitement and fear. "Duller is in his office! He looks busy, but we don’t have much time!"
"Let’s do this!" Billy shouted, adrenaline surging through him.
With that, the plan was set into motion. Kevin flipped the switch, and the coffee machine erupted, spewing scalding coffee everywhere. The scent of burnt coffee filled the air, and the chaos had officially begun.
Billy and Martha dashed toward the exit, but not before glancing back at the scene unfolding. Coffee was spraying like a geyser, drenching the floor and sending office supplies flying.
"This is better than I imagined!" Billy laughed, his heart racing with exhilaration. "Now let’s get out of here!"
As they approached the exit, Linda was already in Duller’s office, charming him with her over-the-top enthusiasm. "Mr. Duller, you won’t believe what just happened! The coffee machine is on the fritz again!"
Duller looked up, his brow furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean?" he asked, his eyes narrowing in suspicion.
"It’s a complete disaster! You should come see for yourself!" Linda said, her smile unwavering.
Meanwhile, Kevin was still trying to contain the coffee machine’s chaos. It was now a full-blown disaster, and office workers were starting to panic.
"Help! It’s everywhere!" shouted one employee, slipping on the coffee-soaked floor.
Billy and Martha exchanged glances, their resolve strengthening. They had to make their move.
As they slipped out the door, they heard Duller’s voice rise above the commotion. "What is going on? I need everyone to calm down!"
With a final glance back at the chaos, Billy and Martha darted down the hallway, giggling at the absurdity of it all. They had done it! They were officially escaping! But just as they rounded the corner, they heard the unmistakable sound of footsteps behind them.
Billy’s heart sank. "We need to hurry!" he urged, a sense of urgency flooding through him. The escape was far from over, and they were about to discover just how unpredictable their office escape plan was going to be.
